School Participation Information

The next survey period will begin in February 2012.

Note from Christopher A. Koch, Ed.D., State Superintendent of Education
“The data gathered from the Illinois Youth Survey helps the Illinois State Board of Education document overall trends and specific issues related to emerging substance abuse and violence, which often impede a conducive and productive learning environment for all Illinois students. The survey also measures several key risk and protective factors surrounding substance abuse. Your school's participation in this survey will help us give communities the information they need about local, state and regional trends in substance abuse. Therefore, I strongly encourage your participation in the spring 2010 Illinois Youth Survey.”

The 2010 Illinois Youth Survey period is now closed.

Our next survey period will be in 2012, and we look forward to helping your school obtain current, relevant data about the many issues facing youth today, and looking at how your school’s data translates into several key risk and protective factors that influence drug use and other behaviors.
